“Tsunami” – Tsunami written in Japanese Kanji

tsunamiI wrote “Tsunami“.
It means “Tsunami“ in English. It is a tremendous sea wave generated by an earthquake.

  1. “Tsu” means “port”
  2. “Nami” means “wave”

The 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake created a large tsunami.
In Japan, we’re afraid of tsunami than an earthquake. Because we have Earthquake-resistant building, but we don’t have any solution other than running away from tsunami.
